Crane Service International was created by the extraordinary engagement of Bruno Bulega, who died in May 2007. My father was a well known business man and an expert as far as mechanical installations, exceptional transports and industrial lifting means is concerned. Very knowledgeable as far as crane handling is concerned and of any type! He started his working career when he was only 12 years old when, to help his parents, he started working as mechanical assistant with some installation companies.
After the military service, he got promoted to crane operator, under the valid assistance of his older brothers (Gigino and Adriano). After few years of apprenticeship, he was asked to follow several important projects by Italian Companies in Algeria and subsequently in Taranto and Torino, for the Peyrani Company. During the Eighties, in view of his remarkable managerial skills and after an excellent site experience, he accepted the job of
Technical Director at the Ottana Company in Parma, a subsidiary of the Fagioli Group of Reggio Emilia.
Some years later, Bruno founded with other collaborators and trusted associates the C.C.S. (Centre Crane Service), in Noceto, near Parma. It is exactly during those years that Bruno and his associates could demonstrate their technical and business qualities to the world largest lifting companies, through important media acknowledgments. In fact, C.C.S. had the achievement of building the largest crane of those days, in Italy, the Deca TC and CC 2000. In those days I myself was employed as mechanical apprentice within the Company and I cannot forget his application and severity
at work...
Immediately afterward, the C.C.S. Company has to re-organize the Company’s legal provisions, also changing in the process the Company’s set up, now becoming C.C.S.E (Center Crane Service Abroad).
From there onwards, it all becomes part of recent history, with the most significant assignments, such as the supervision of the works at the steel mill in Ysfhan (Iran), the supervision of the works at the Alpi Stadium in Torino, the supervision of the works and expansion of the Olympic Stadium of Roma, the supervision and expansion of the San Siro Stadium in Milano, supervision of the works and installation of the new reactor at the Esso refinery of Augusta (Sicily), supervision of the works and land/sea transportation of the Stor Belt Bridge in Denmark, to name but a few, together with many other projects in the field of steel works, chemical and petrochemical industry.
After many working and satisfying years together with his associate and friend, Geom. Italo Adorni, in 2006 they decide, by mutual consent, to go their own ways, but always showing the greatest of respect and friendship for one-another that stemmed from the many years they had been working together. My father still wasn’t tired of working and surprised us by founding a new company, within the same field, called Crane Service.
From 2001 he shared the office with me where, at the time, I was taken up full time with Motorcycling. In fact, after my pilot career in the World Motorcycling racing competition in the 250cc and WSS class, I did start a Team Manager career in the Lightspeed Team, owned by my father Bruno, who shared with me a great passion for motorcycling.
Sharing the office with my father has given me the opportunity to follow him through the various work meetings and to become involved in his activity. After his leaving us, I feel bound to give continuity to my father’s Company.
